Spring Break-Hamburger King

The same friend who recommended the museum, also recommended eating at a restaurant called, "Hamburger King," in Shawnee, OK. The drive through Shawnee was a unique taste of small town America and then we had our yummy lunch which was ordered over the phone from our booth.
The onion rings were delicious!

Spring Break-Children's Museum

A good family friend recommended that we visit the Jasmine Moran Children's Museum in Seminole, OK. So we loaded the family up and made the hour and a half trip to get there.
It was worth it! All of us had a great time.

I love this picture. Eliza examined these "kids" for probably 5 minutes.
It was so cute!

Locks of Love

Inspired by her cousins, Hailey (who has donated her hair) and Ellie (who was growing her hair out to donate during our last visit), our sweet, brave Madilyn got a new hairdo and donated her hair to Locks of Love.

She says she loves her new look.
Today, she and I made a lot of bows, so now she's one stylish girl.

Do you ever wonder what your kids do while you're out of the room?

Taking pictures of themselves is one of those good surprises. Discovering that your one year old got a hold of her sister's markers and colored one of your tan couches is not. Thanks to Tim, the couch is back to normal.

One day Andrew calls me over and says,
"Mom, watch what I can do with my sticky feet!"

Latest Addiction

Tim got Rock Band for Christmas and we have had the best time rocking out as a family or with friends. Our band is called the T-Town Thrashers. Tim usually does lead vocals. Madilyn, Andrew, and I rotate between everything else unless the songs, "Eye of the Tiger," "That's What You Get," or "Nine in the Afternoon" are playing and then Madilyn takes over on vocals. Eliza is our audience but occassionally she loves a smack at the drums.

The pictures below are of us in jammies on a lazy Saturday.

Fresh Start

So I don't know if anyone knows that song, "Here It Goes Again." But I've decided this should be my theme song right now. I've needed to recommit to some things. You know, make some New Year's Resolutions...like exercise, eating healthy, sticking to a budget, laughing often at home, posting on my blog, and so much more. So "here it goes...again."
